What we collect, and why.
Intek Solutions is one bench and one pair of hands. We collect what it takes to charge you once and get a package to your door, and nothing else. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking anywhere on this site.
What we collect
All of it comes from you, at checkout or when you look up an order. There is no account to create and nothing to sign into.
- Your email address — So we can send your order confirmation, your download links, and a note when your build ships. It is also how you look an order up later, since the lookup page asks for your order number and the email you paid with.
- Your shipping name and address — Only for orders that ship something physical. Digital-file orders never ask for one.
- What you ordered — The tier, the shell colour, whether you took the charger electronics, your order number, and where it is in the queue.
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist — Nothing else, and nothing to pay. It exists so we can tell you when pre-orders reopen.
What we never see
Your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout page. Your card number never reaches this site’s servers and we could not retrieve it if we wanted to. What comes back to us is the fact that a payment succeeded, plus the email and shipping address you gave Stripe.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no session recorder.
- Your theme and light-bar preference — Stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us and we cannot read it.
- A staff sign-in cookie — Set only when a member of staff signs into the order dashboard. Customers are never issued one.
- A demo video, if one is embedded — Loaded from YouTube’s no-cookie domain specifically so that scrolling past it does not set anything.
Who your information goes to
Four companies, each doing one job, none of them given anything they do not need for it.
- Stripe — Takes the payment and collects your email and shipping address on our behalf.
- Mailjet — Delivers the order emails. It handles your email address and the contents of the message.
- The shipping carrier — Gets your name and address, for physical orders only.
- Railway and Cloudflare — Host and serve the site. Like any web host they keep short-lived request logs that include IP addresses.
That is the complete list. Nobody else receives your information, and none of it is ever sold, rented, or handed to an advertising network.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we may need them to honour the warranty and to satisfy tax and accounting obligations. Waitlist entries are deleted once the run they were waiting for has been and gone, or sooner if you ask.
The order-lookup and waitlist endpoints are rate limited, which means a request’s IP address is recorded briefly to count attempts. Those records are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Your choices
Email [email protected] from the address you ordered with and ask for a copy of what we hold on you, a correction to it, or its deletion. We will do it. If you are only on the waitlist, ask to be taken off and you are off immediately.
Deleting an order record while the order is still open would leave us unable to build or ship it, so in that case we will ask you to confirm you want the order cancelled too.
Children
This is a soldering kit and a reading light. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes, and how to reach us
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who we share it with, the date at the bottom of this page changes with it. Questions go to [email protected], and are answered by a person.
